UX/UI Designs
Rudi
Helping students master the building blocks of drumming rudiments.
Rudi was born out of a necessity for a fun and easy way to teach kids how to learn rudiments. We found a flaw in the market with their being no learning tool to assist music instructors in their goal of teaching students the fundamentals. We have solved this issue by making an engaging learning tool where students can complete speed levels to master different rudiments. We continued with the fun by providing bonus levels to apply the students knowledge to real life scenarios.
My role in this project was to turn this idea and make it into a living program in respect to the UX and UI functions. I first started by narrowing down how exactly this tool needed to work and who exactly we were building this for. I then created a website that lives in both desktop and mobile form. As our development team is busy working on that, I am designing the program itself and making sure the flow works correctly.
Branding
Duffy & Young
Duffy & Young is a Charleston-based law firm that wanted to work on elevating its brand and website. I first started on rebranding. I decided to keep their original logo while making some minor tweaks to modernize their look. I gave them a set color scheme with a pattern to accompany it. The next steps will be to rework their site map and start creating pages for the rebranded website.
ShiftNOW
ShiftNOW is a Charleston-based startup that created an app to allow restaurants to find shift workers when they are understaffed. I was approached by the owner of the company to create a new icon but ended but redesigning their entire logo while developing their brand standards. I created a few more branded items for them like business cards and rack cards.
Print Work
Stuhr Funeral Home
Obituary Rate Cards
I was tasked with putting together a rate card to list different pricing options for the client's obituary packages. I decided to go with a soft, elegant feel that still stayed in line with the client's overall branding.
Etto Leisure Cars
Summerville's Best Paper Ad
My client Etto was ranked in Summerville's Best competition. They wanted to put together a print ad that would run in The Post and Courier's newspaper. This was a particularly challenging assignment since I had never worked with newspaper material before and had to be cautious of the colors I chose.
Watson Farms
Recipe Card
This client expressed interest in having some sort of insert for their delivery and subscription boxes. We decided the best option would be to have a recipe card to play off of the homey feel that they were trying to portray. I kept the design in line with their brand standards, while also keeping it visually appealing.
